Management finance

The management finance that reads value, not just revenue

Billing is not profit. Gauge is the management finance your company operates to centralize accounts, reconcile the bank with a scoring engine, read a cash-basis DRE and actual vs. projected cash flow, and track global indicators and the margin of every client and project — with governance at each close.

Why Gauge

High revenue is not the same as profit

Accounts scattered across banks and gateways, statements reconciled by hand, the close in a side spreadsheet and no clear reading of who brings margin. Without a reliable number, every decision is a bet. Gauge takes finance off the spreadsheet and turns statements, invoices and costs into a DRE, cash flow and margin by client — so you decide with data, not gut feeling.

Scattered accounts, balance in the dark

Banks, cards, gateways and cash registers in different places. Without a consolidated balance and categorization, you do not know how much you have or where the money went.

No way to know who brings margin

Without tying revenue and cost to each client and project, the result vanishes in the total. You bill, but you do not know which contract pays the bills and which only brings work.

Closing in a spreadsheet, no trail

Reconciling, collecting and closing the month by hand takes time and leaves no trace. Without governance, every closed number is a doubt — and no one knows who approved what.

What Gauge does

From the reconciled statement to reading the result

A complete management finance, persisted and governed — instead of the spreadsheet and the workaround.

Centralized accounts and chart of accounts

Banks, cards, gateways and cash registers in one panel, with a consolidated balance. Categorize by chart of accounts, categories and cost centers, with links to client and project.

Import and bank reconciliation

Import the statement in OFX or CSV and reconcile with a scoring engine that auto-matches entries and flags discrepancies for you to review.

Cash-basis DRE and cash flow

A management DRE on a cash basis and actual vs. projected cash flow, projected from recurring items, payables and receivables and history.

Invoices, receivables and proofs

Issue invoices, capture proofs of payment with OCR, settle and reconcile receivables — every payment with a full trail of what came in and who settled it.

Collection and receipt

Automatic collection by email (dunning) and boleto or Pix via Asaas, with automatic settlement by webhook. Plus NFS-e issuance and subscriptions with recurrence.

Client portal and digest

A secure, token-based portal for the client to view invoices, proofs and status, and a weekly email digest — with no back-and-forth every week.

Assess how Gauge fits

Indicators and dimensions

What is global and what is by client

Gauge clearly separates what is measured across the whole organization from what is measured by client and project. Confusing the two is the most common mistake — and Gauge does not let it happen.

Global organization indicators

Across the period: ROI, ROAS, LTV (approximated by average ticket), CAC, LTV:CAC, EBITDA, break-even, runway, aging, ABC curve, health score, default risk, tax regimes and a scenario and price simulator.

Margin by client and project

The profitability of each client and project: revenue minus the attributable cost. This is where you see who brings margin — not as ROI by client, but as margin, which is what exists per client.

Cash flow and DRE

Actual vs. projected cash flow and a management DRE on a cash basis, to read what came in and what is due in the coming weeks before the squeeze arrives.

ROI and ROAS exist only as global indicators (organization and period). By client, Gauge delivers margin and profitability — revenue minus attributable cost —, not "ROI by client". LTV is an approximation by average ticket in the period, not a full accounting lifetime value.

In action

From projected investment to decision

An illustrative example of the real Gauge flow — it includes the point of human decision at the end. No real figures, clients or data.

From projected investment to decision, step by step

Illustrative
  1. Period or initiative

A period or an initiative is opened, with chart of accounts, cost centers and links to client and project.

  2. Projected investment

The projected investment and costs are recorded as a reference for what is expected to be spent.

  3. Realized costs

The statement comes in via OFX or CSV and realized costs are reconciled by the scoring engine, with auto-match.

  4. Global indicators

Across the period, indicators such as ROI, ROAS, EBITDA and break-even are tracked.

  5. Margin by client

Margin is measured by client and by project: revenue minus the cost attributable to each.

  6. Deviations flagged

The gap between projected and realized rises to the top, pointing to where the result strayed from the plan.

  7. Recommended decision

Gauge organizes the reading, but the decision to renegotiate, prioritize or end is always a person's.

Flow: a period or initiative opened; projected investment recorded; realized costs imported and reconciled; global indicators tracked across the period; margin measured by client and project; deviations between projected and realized flagged; a recommended decision reviewed and made by a person (control point).

Use cases

Where Gauge changes the result

Three situations where reading value, not just revenue, changes the decision.

Close the month with governance

Reconciliation, versioned payment policies, approval and a period lock close the month with a trail — not in a loose spreadsheet.

Read margin by client

Revenue minus attributable cost by client and project shows who brings margin, to renegotiate, prioritize or end based on data.

Collect and receive without chasing clients

Collection by email and boleto or Pix via Asaas, with automatic settlement by webhook and a token-based client portal, cut the manual work.

Closing with governance

Every closed number has a rule, approval and trail

Closing is not a button. In Gauge it goes through policy, approval and a lock — with server-side auditing and encrypted secrets.

Versioned policies

Payment and closing policies are versioned: what applied in each period is recorded, without overwriting the past.

Approval

Approval steps before consolidating: the close moves forward when whoever holds the role approves, not on its own.

Period lock

When the period is locked, entries stop changing. The lock is enforced in the database, not just on the screen — the past really closes.

Auditing and encrypted secrets

Every action enters a server-side trail and integration secrets stay encrypted. Each organization sees only its own data, with isolation enforced in the database.

Governance organizes and records the close; it does not replace your accounting or the judgment of whoever approves. What Gauge guarantees is rules, a trail and isolation by organization.

Where Gauge starts and stops

Gauge is not a dashboard, analytics or accounting

Gauge is management finance. Other products solve neighboring but different problems — and Gauge replaces none of them.

Gauge × Dash

Dash builds and shares visual dashboards from your indicators. Gauge is the financial source: it computes accounts, DRE, flow and margin. One measures and computes; the other displays.

Gauge × an accounting system

Gauge is management finance, on a cash basis. It is not accounting: it does no bookkeeping, files no tax obligations and does not replace your accountant.

Gauge's real integrations are EXTERNAL: Asaas for boleto and Pix, an NFS-e provider and statement import in OFX/CSV. Today there is no automatic data exchange with other Centriu systems. If your operation depends on a specific connection, talk to us before contracting.

For agencies

Agencies operate Gauge together with the client

Gauge isolates data per organization: an agency can operate the management finance of many clients, each isolated, tracking margin and result.

Track the margin of contracts

Tie revenue and cost to each client and project to read the margin of contracts — and know which ones sustain the operation.

Management reports

Management reports, a health score and an accountability export give the agency and the client the same reading, with no side spreadsheet.

Compare investment and return

Compare the projected investment with the realized one and with the period's global indicators to guide the next decision.

Gauge does not guarantee margin or return: it reads what the data shows. The reading is only reliable with the data the agency and the client keep up to date.

Plans and contracting

This system is offered on request: scope and pricing are defined with the Centriu team based on your operation.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions.

Is Gauge an accounting system?

No. Gauge is management finance, on a cash basis. It centralizes accounts, reconciles the bank, computes a management DRE, flow and margin, and collects and receives. It does no bookkeeping, files no tax obligations and does not replace your accountant.

Which indicators does Gauge track?

Across the organization and the period: ROI, ROAS, LTV (approximated by average ticket), CAC, LTV:CAC, EBITDA, break-even, runway, aging, ABC curve, health score, default risk, tax regimes and a scenario and price simulator. By client and project, it computes margin and profitability.

Does Gauge calculate ROI and ROAS?

Yes, but as global indicators — across the organization and the period. By client and project, what Gauge delivers is margin (revenue minus attributable cost), not "ROI by client". They are different readings, and Gauge does not mix them.

Where does the data come from?

From manual entry, statement import in OFX or CSV, proof capture by OCR and the Asaas gateway (boleto and Pix), with automatic settlement by webhook. Reconciliation by a scoring engine matches this data and flags what does not add up.

Does Gauge guarantee a return?

No. Gauge reads what the data shows — margin, flow, indicators and deviations — to support the decision. It does not guarantee a return, does not raise the margin on its own and does not prove causation. The decision is always a person's.

What is the difference between Gauge and Dash?

Gauge is the financial source: it computes accounts, DRE, flow and margin. Dash builds and shares visual dashboards from indicators. Gauge computes the number; Dash displays it. Today there is no automatic data exchange between the two.

Is there an onboarding?

Yes, a negotiated one. As a persisted management finance, Gauge is deployed as a project — setting up the chart of accounts, accounts, policies and external integrations (Asaas, NFS-e, statement import). The scope is defined in the proposal.

Is the price fixed?

No. Gauge is offered on a quote basis: the price depends on the scope, volume and integrations of your operation. Talk to us to receive a proposal with what makes sense for your case.

Can agencies use Gauge for clients?

Yes. Gauge isolates data per organization: an agency can operate the finance of many clients, each isolated, in a joint operation. Reading margin and result depends on the data the agency and the client keep up to date.
